Jadro Bridge construction reaches major milestone in Solin
Construction of the new Jadro Bridge at the Širina junction in Solin is advancing under the contractor Texo Molior. Approximately 50 workers, engineers, and construction team members are currently on-site working on five simultaneous locations to build the future bridge piers.
In the first three weeks of work, 576 cubic metres of concrete have been installed into the foundations and load-bearing elements. This includes 280 cubic metres in one foundation, 240 cubic metres in the element connecting the bridge piles, and 56 cubic metres in the final load-bearing sections of the piers. If the current pace continues, the total volume of concrete installed is expected to exceed 1,000 cubic metres by the end of next week.
The current phase focuses on the lower structure, which will serve as the support for the future steel span. Upcoming stages will involve completing the remaining foundations, constructing the piers, and preparing detailed designs for the production and assembly of the steel structure.
