Jadson, former Corinthians player, arrested for domestic violence in Paraná

Ex-footballer Jadson Rodrigues da Silva, 42, was arrested in flagrante in Cambé, northern Paraná, on suspicion of domestic violence. The arrest follows an incident where his partner reported being grabbed by the neck during a discussion. Police officers attending the scene confirmed the presence of marks on the victim's neck. The victim further alleged that this was not the first instance of physical aggression.

During police questioning, Jadson admitted to an intense argument but denied physical aggression, stating, "it was a husband and wife fight, but that's part of it." He was charged with domestic violence, bodily injury, and insult against women.

On Sunday, a judge granted Jadson provisional liberty without bail, citing his lack of criminal record and the fact that a prison sentence for these charges would likely not be served in a closed regime. However, the court imposed several precautionary measures, including bi-monthly appearances in court, a prohibition from frequenting bars, and a restriction on leaving the judicial district for more than 15 days without authorization. Protective measures for the victim remain in place.
