Jae-si Lee postpones FIT New York studies due to costs

Jae-si Lee, the eldest daughter of former national football player Lee Dong-guk, revealed on her YouTube channel why she decided to take a leave of absence from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) New York campus.

After completing her studies at the FIT Korean campus, Lee had planned to move to New York to continue her education for two more years. However, she chose to postpone her departure to gain social experience in Korea. She cited the desire to avoid rushing her education, noting that she had entered university two years earlier than most of her peers.

Economic concerns were also a primary driver. Lee stated that high exchange rates and the expensive cost of living and rent in New York made her worry about the financial burden on her family. Her mother, Lee Su-jin, supported the decision, suggesting that the time and money spent on a degree could be better utilized for diverse life experiences.
