JAECOO 7 SHS‑H full‑hybrid SUV launches in Romania

Chery Auto's JAECOO brand introduced the JAECOO 7 SHS‑H full‑hybrid SUV to the Romanian market on 1 June 2026. The model combines a 165 kW (224 hp) gasoline engine with an electric motor, delivering a 0‑100 km/h time of 8.9 seconds and a combined fuel consumption of 5.5 L/100 km. The vehicle’s advertised electric‑assisted range exceeds 900 km, with CO₂ emissions estimated at 125 g/km.

Two trim levels are offered: Comfort, priced at €29 457 (list €34 490), and Exclusive at €32 490 (list €37 490). The Exclusive version includes a 14.8‑inch central infotainment screen powered by a Qualcomm 8155 chipset. Safety and driver‑assist equipment comprise a 540° panoramic camera system, eight airbags and more than 20 active‑assistance functions.

The launch follows strong European performance, with over 53 000 JAECOO 7 units sold in 2025 and the model becoming the UK’s best‑selling car in March 2026 with more than 10 000 registrations. Distribution in Romania is handled by Genius Automotive Europe, which also operates in Hungary and Bulgaria.
