Jaecoo 7 hybrid SUV launches in Finland

The Jaecoo 7, a compact SUV manufactured by the Chinese Chery Group, has launched in the Finnish market. Imported by RSA Suomi, the vehicle follows a period of significant sales success in the United Kingdom.

In Finland, the initial lineup features a self-charging full hybrid powered by the Chery Super Hybrid System (SHS). This system combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a combined output of 224 horsepower and 295 Nm of torque. The vehicle offers a WLTP fuel consumption of 5.5 liters per 100 km and a driving range of over 900 km on a single tank.

The Jaecoo 7 Launch Edition is priced starting at €34,900, positioning it as a more affordable alternative to competitors like the Volkswagen Tiguan eHybrid, which starts at approximately €42,200 in Finland. Standard features include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, a digital instrument cluster, and eight airbags. A plug-in hybrid version is expected to be added to the Finnish model range at a later date.
