JAF promotes autotest motorsport events in Shizuoka and Oita

The Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) is supporting upcoming autotest events in Shizuoka and Oita prefectures. Autotests are a motorsport genre that emphasizes driving accuracy rather than high speeds, allowing participants to compete using their standard personal vehicles without the need for specialized equipment like helmets or racing gloves.

In Shizuoka, the ‘2026 Autotest in Tsumagoi Resort Sai-no-Sato’ will be held on September 26, 2026, at the Tsumagoi Resort South Parking Lot. Organized by the JAF-affiliated club Team MI, the event is open to those with a standard driver's license. Successful participants can qualify to apply for a domestic B license, which serves as an entry point for various official JAF motorsport competitions.

In Oita, the ‘Tobiume Autotest 2026’ is scheduled for August 30, 2026, at the Autopolis Lakeside Course. This event is organized by the JAF-affiliated club ARC Tobiume. Similar to the Shizuoka event, it offers participants the opportunity to gain eligibility for a domestic B license upon completion.
