Jagex reveals roadmap for RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Jagex has unveiled a comprehensive roadmap for the open-world survival game ‘RuneScape: Dragonwilds’ during the RuneFest 2026 event held in Birmingham, UK. Following the conclusion of ‘Kuldra’s Saga,’ the game will transition into a new narrative arc titled ‘Blood Crystal Saga.’

In December 2026, a free update named ‘Luminance’ will serve as a prologue, introducing music-based gameplay mechanics, elf-themed character customization, and a new ‘Prayer’ skill involving ritualistic actions at altars.

Starting in 2027, the ‘Blood Crystal Saga’ will expand through major updates. ‘Song of Rebellion’ will introduce the Ailddinas area, a new ‘Hunter’ skill, and a hunting system involving traps and tracking. This will be followed by ‘Crown of Night,’ which will feature coastal and hilly terrains and legendary equipment as players face off against the Nos Clan.

Jagex also announced a two-week sale for PC versions on Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Jagex Launcher starting October 16, offering discounts of up to 30%. The company also teased a new MMORPG currently referred to as ‘RS4’.
