Jagiellonian University leads Polish-Belgian neuroscience research

Researchers from Jagiellonian University are launching an international study in collaboration with partners from Flanders, Belgium, to investigate how the human brain monitors the results of actions and processes feedback. Led by Professor Magdalena Senderecka, the project has received an OPUS LAP grant valued at 1.5 million PLN.

The study aims to determine if these cognitive processes are dependent on motivation and learning. Using electroencephalography (EEG), the research team will conduct extensive studies involving over 200 participants in Poland and Belgium. The findings may provide insights into how different psychological profiles respond to success and failure, potentially leading to more effective learning methods and improved coping mechanisms for environmental challenges.
