Jaguar Health shares surge over 1,500% following FDA exemptions

Jaguar Health (JAGX) shares experienced a massive surge on Wall Street, climbing as much as 1,585.4% intraday on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The stock closed at $34.46, representing a 1,190.64% increase, and continued to rise in after-hours trading to reach $36.25.

The rally was driven by a combination of regulatory news and technical market factors. The FDA granted Jaguar Health and its affiliate, Napo Pharmaceuticals, fee exemptions for 2027 regarding two drugs: Mytesi and Canalevia-CA1. Specifically, Napo Pharmaceuticals received exemptions under the Prescription Drug User Fee Act for Mytesi, which are delayed-release crofelemer tablets used to treat diarrhea.

Additionally, the stock movement was amplified by a 1-for-15 reverse stock split, which reduced the float and increased volatility. The company is currently working toward a New Drug Application (NDA) milestone for crofelemer, targeted for mid-2027.
