Range Rover unveils its first all-electric luxury SUV

Range Rover has unveiled its first fully electric SUV, the Range Rover Electric, marking a significant transition for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). Manufactured in Solihull, United Kingdom, the vehicle is designed to maintain the brand's signature luxury and off-road capabilities while transitioning to electric mobility.

The flagship EV550 HSE model features dual permanent magnet electric motors producing 550 PS (approximately 542 hp) and 850 Nm of torque. This allows for an acceleration of 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The vehicle is powered by a 118.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack utilizing an 800-volt architecture. Under the WLTP cycle, it offers a range of up to 600 kilometers, with an estimated real-world range of 535 kilometers.

Charging capabilities include support for up to 350 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 22 minutes. To preserve off-road performance, the vehicle incorporates advanced technologies such as Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) and Integrated Traction Management (ITM), which manage torque distribution and motor speed to handle various terrains and inclines.
