Jaguar Land Rover unveils Defender Wolf II for British Army tender

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has unveiled the Defender Wolf Series II, a military-focused 4x4 designed as a potential successor to the British Army’s aging Land Rover fleet, which is slated for retirement by 2030.

The vehicle is entering the competition for the Ministry of Defence Light Mobility Vehicle tender. Built on the D7x architecture, the Wolf II utilizes a monocoque construction rather than a traditional ladder-frame design and has undergone over 62,000 tests to ensure durability in harsh environments.

JLR has also established a new Defender Defence Division to support the specific requirements of various defense organizations. The Wolf II will be available in four distinct configurations: tactical mobility, general mobility, ambulance, and utility.
