Jaguar Land Rover unveils Wolf Series II military vehicles
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has unveiled the ‘Wolf Series II’, a new generation of military vehicles developed by its newly established Defender Defence Division. The announcement took place at the DVD 2026 event in Millbrook, UK.
The lineup features three distinct variations: the Tactical Mobility Vehicle (TMV), the Mono-Tactical Mobility Vehicle (M-TMV), and the Utility Vehicle (UV). These models are designed to meet the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) requirements for the next Light Mobility Vehicle (LMV) procurement program, with plans to supply NATO member nations as well.
Moving away from traditional ladder-frame construction, the Wolf Series II utilizes the D7x aluminum monocoque architecture. This shift provides a torsional rigidity of 29kNm/Degree, approximately three times that of previous frame-based models, enhancing durability and payload capacity. The vehicles are powered by engines manufactured in Wolverhampton, UK, to ensure sovereign defense capability. The development process included over 62,000 tests to ensure performance in extreme environments.
