Jagwire launches Pro LR3 brake disc with upgraded ring and Graphene‑cooled pads in Germany
Jagwire's Pro LR3 brake disc is a two‑piece system comprising a stainless‑steel friction ring and an aluminum spider. Compared with the earlier LR2, the ring contour and rivet connection have been redesigned, which the company says yields up to 10 % more braking performance while keeping weight similar to the previous model. The disc retains the J‑shaped wear indicator and is offered in five diameters (140 mm to 220 mm) with either 6‑hole or Center‑Lock mounting.
The accompanying Elite Cooling brake pads incorporate a graphene layer between a semi‑metallic friction material and aluminum cooling fins. Jagwire claims the pads lower disc temperatures by up to 27 % and pad temperatures by up to 13 % in its own tests. The pads are compatible with selected Shimano, SRAM and Magura brake systems. Both the disc and pads are listed for sale in Germany, though exact delivery dates have not been announced. Prices range from €58.99 to €94.99 for the disc and €22.99 per pad pair.
