Jaheim Singletary released from hospital after collision during Iowa State game

Iowa State cornerback Jaheim Singletary was hospitalized following a collision with teammate Willie Breland III during a football game against Bowling Green at Jack Trice Stadium. The incident occurred in the first quarter as players were pursuing a play toward the end zone.

Singletary was placed on a backboard and transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center for evaluation. Iowa State Athletics later announced that Singletary had movement in all his extremities and has since been released from the hospital.

The collision caused a 15-minute stoppage in play, during which players from both teams gathered on the sidelines to show support. Iowa State head coach Jimmy Rogers described the event as a “really scary situation” and noted the team’s close-knit connection during the incident. Despite the medical emergency, Iowa State went on to win the game 55-7.
