Bosnia and Herzegovina prepares for autumn weather and winter season

As the calendar autumn approaches, Bosnia and Herzegovina is experiencing significant weather shifts and preparations for the upcoming winter tourism season. According to BH Metea, the transition will bring cooler mornings, increased northern winds, and potential frost in higher elevations, with possible first snowflakes on mountain peaks.

In the tourism sector, Olympic Center Jahorina has released its pricing for the 2026/2027 winter season. While some prices have increased after a three-year freeze, the center is offering a pre-sale period from September 20 to October 20 with discounted rates. Jahorina features 54 kilometers of trails, including 12 kilometers of illuminated paths for night skiing.

Simultaneously, preparations are underway at Vlašić, where authorities are expanding ski trails and improving telecommunications infrastructure to enhance safety and service. The region is also preparing for the traditional ‘Šankanje’ event.
