Jai Mundra, Indian-born cricketer, joins Ireland T20I squad for series vs India

Jai Mundra, a 28‑year‑old cricketer from Tonk district in Rajasthan, has been named in Ireland's squad for the T20 International series against India scheduled for 26 and 28 June 2026. He moved to Ireland in 2021 on a student visa to pursue an M Tech degree, continued playing cricket while working, and obtained Irish citizenship in 2025, earning his first international call‑up.

Mundra's family expressed pride, noting his aggressive bowling and strong batting helped secure selection. The series will mark India's first T20Is since their World Cup win earlier in the year, with Shreyas Iyer captaining the side.
