Jaipur ASI arrested for accepting 10,000 rupee bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Sukhdev Jat in Jaipur for accepting a bribe of 10,000 rupees. The officer was stationed at the Pratap Nagar police station.

According to the ACB, the officer demanded the money in exchange for providing assistance in a case, effective advocacy, and facilitating the arrest of an accused individual and the subsequent filing of a charge sheet. Following a written complaint on August 11, the ACB verified the demand and orchestrated a trap.

During the operation, the ASI placed the bribe money into his khaki uniform pocket, at which point the ACB team apprehended him and recovered the funds. Investigations are ongoing under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
