NTA schedules AIAPGET re-exam for 49 candidates after Jaipur power failure

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has scheduled a re-examination for 49 candidates of the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026 on September 1, 2026. The decision follows a significant disruption during the first shift of the exam on August 22 at the Shri Satya Sai PG College centre in Jaipur.

A power failure occurred approximately 15 to 20 minutes into the computer-based test, preventing 49 of the 192 candidates at that location from completing their exams. The NTA attributed the disruption to the exam-conducting agency, M/s Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited.

The incident led to protests by students and parents, who raised concerns regarding the lack of adequate power backup and potential breaches of exam integrity. Some candidates alleged that the outage allowed for discussions regarding the question paper, questioning the fairness of the session.

The re-examination is set to take place at 10:00 AM at the Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women in Jaipur. Affected candidates will be provided with revised admit cards containing specific details.
