Jaipur Municipal Corporation completes ward reservation lottery

Administrative preparations for the upcoming municipal elections in Jaipur have reached a milestone with the completion of the ward reservation process. A lottery conducted at the Jaipur Collectorate established the electoral landscape for the 150 wards within the Jaipur Municipal Corporation's jurisdiction.

The reservation results ensure diverse representation across several categories. Of the 150 total wards, 50 are reserved for women, including 31 designated as Unreserved Women wards. Other allocations include 30 wards for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 20 for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 6 for Scheduled Tribes (ST). The remaining 63 wards are categorized as Unreserved Open, allowing candidates from any category to contest.
