Jaipur Police Arrest Five in Cyber Crime Sweep, Block Rs 1 Crore Worth of Phones
Jaipur West police’s “Mool Hunter” cyber‑crime operation resulted in the arrest of five suspects across the Bindaika, Khorabisal and Kherdhani police stations. Using digital forensics, investigators froze approximately ₹2.85 crore in fraudulent transactions and blocked more than 300 mobile IMEIs valued at about ₹1 crore. The police also recovered ₹97 lakh for victims and retrieved 215 lost phones worth roughly ₹40 lakh, returning them to their owners. Ongoing inquiries are tracing additional network members linked to the fraud ring, which is believed to have targeted victims in several Indian states.
Authorities urged the public to report cyber‑fraud promptly via the national cyber helpline (1930) or the cyber‑crime portal, noting that early reporting increases the chances of freezing and recovering stolen funds.
