Jaipur police arrest Nepali gang for high-profile robbery

Police in Jaipur have arrested three members of a Nepali gang involved in a high-profile robbery at a residence in the Jawahar Circle area. The suspects, identified as Satveer Singh, Manbahadur, and Pradeep Kumar Yadav, were apprehended near the Uttar Pradesh-Nepal border in Bahraich following a pursuit spanning approximately 10,000 kilometers.

The gang utilized a sophisticated method where members would first secure employment as domestic help within a target household. They would spend 15 to 20 days conducting reconnaissance to monitor the family’s routines and identify periods when the house would be vulnerable.

The robbery occurred on July 29, when the suspects entered the home of businessman Ashish Gupta. They took the victim's son, Raghav Gupta, hostage and stole 5 lakh rupees in cash, a Cartier watch, and various gold and diamond jewelry. The suspects used fake identities and false addresses to evade detection, but were eventually located through technical surveillance and multi-city police operations.
