Jaipur Police to implement two-month traffic management plan

Rajasthan Police Director General Rajiv Kumar Sharma has directed the development of a two-month action plan to manage traffic during the upcoming festival and tourism season in Jaipur. During a review meeting at the police headquarters, the DGP emphasized that traffic improvements must be visible on the streets through practical solutions and on-site inspections.

Key directives include optimizing traffic diversions to ensure that managing one route does not cause congestion on alternative paths. The plan also focuses on increasing police presence at major intersections, markets, and tourist sites, improving parking arrangements, and enhancing road markings and pedestrian crossings.

Additionally, authorities will intensify enforcement against traffic violations, such as speeding, jumping red lights, driving in the wrong direction, and riding without helmets. Officers will be evaluated based on the tangible results of their field efforts and the effectiveness of their local traffic management strategies.
