Jair Renan Bolsonaro faces salary deduction for unexcused absences
Jair Renan Bolsonaro, a city councilor in Balneário Camboriú, saw a deduction of R$ 4,554.71 from his July salary due to unexcused absences from two legislative sessions on July 14 and 15. His total salary for the month was R$ 13,664.13, down from his standard R$ 18,218.84.
According to the City Council's press office, councilors may record absences without salary deductions only if they submit a formal justification via official letter that is read during the meeting. Bolsonaro, the youngest son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, is currently running for federal deputy in Santa Catarina.
