Jakarta authorities implement regional flood mitigation and social initiatives

The Jakarta provincial and West Jakarta local governments are implementing various regional initiatives. In West Jakarta, authorities are dredging sediment in Kali Mookervaart as part of a flood mitigation program and plan to dismantle an unused, low-clearance bridge to prevent trash accumulation. Additionally, the West Jakarta administration has postponed parking enforcement in the CNI Kembangan area to allow for dialogue with residents regarding economic impacts.

In Jakarta city governance, Governor Pramono Anung is reviewing a proposal to increase Car Free Day (CFD) frequency to twice a week. Meanwhile, in Cempaka Putih Barat, over 2,600 residents received Bulog rice assistance, an event used to facilitate the activation of Digital Population Identity (IKD).

On the health front, West Jakarta held the Helix 2026 convention to improve healthcare quality, focusing on maternal and child health through cross-sector collaboration involving hospitals and community stakeholders.
