Jakarta bus terminals host celebrations for Indonesia's 81st Independence Day

Bus terminals in Jakarta are hosting various community competitions to celebrate the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

At the Kampung Rambutan Terminal, bus drivers, terminal employees, and MSME workers participated in festivities designed to strengthen social ties and celebrate the national holiday. The event provided a brief respite from the daily routine of passenger services.

Similarly, the Lebak Bulus Terminal in South Jakarta organized unique competitions, including a bus pulling and pushing contest involving medium-sized buses from DAMRI and PO Agra Sukabumi. Other planned activities include blindfolded marching drills, balloon dancing, and balloon relays. Terminal head Joni Budhi stated these events aim to provide entertainment and foster togetherness among staff and those operating within the terminal environment.
