Jakarta DPRD highlights lack of garbage truck depots

The Special Committee (Pansus) for Waste Management of the Jakarta DPRD has raised concerns regarding the lack of dedicated parking depots for the city's garbage collection fleet.

Judistira Hermawan, Chairman of the Pansus, noted that the Jakarta Environmental Agency (DLH) operates approximately 1,700 waste collection vehicles, yet none currently have a specialized depot. This lack of infrastructure forces the fleet to park in various unofficial locations. The committee emphasized that effective waste management requires not only processing and disposal sites but also adequate transportation support and facilities.
