Jakarta expands digital and mobile tax payment services

Authorities in the Jakarta metropolitan area are expanding access to tax services through digital and mobile channels. The Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta) has introduced various digital payment options for Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2), including e-commerce, internet banking, and official government payment partners.

To encourage timely compliance, Pemprov DKI Jakarta is offering a 5% principal discount for PBB-P2 2026 payments made between August 1 and September 30, 2026. Late payments after the September 30 deadline will incur an administrative fine of 1% per month. Special relief schemes are also available for taxpayers with outstanding arrears from 2021 to 2025.

Simultaneously, Polda Metro Jaya is providing mobile Samsat services to facilitate annual Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) payments across Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jadetabek). These mobile units operate at various strategic locations to assist citizens with annual renewals, though five-year STNK extensions and license plate changes still require visits to main Samsat offices.
