Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung to discuss regional bonds with Finance Minister

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung is scheduled to meet with Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara to discuss the planned issuance of regional bonds for the DKI Jakarta provincial government. The meeting aims to finalize the funding scheme and secure necessary approvals from the central government.

Pramono noted that the provincial government is coordinating with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) regarding this initiative. While acknowledging that the central government maintains strict oversight due to varying fiscal readiness among regions, Pramono expressed optimism that Jakarta’s disciplined and transparent budget management makes it capable of handling such creative financing to support infrastructure projects.
