Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Confirms Hydrogen Bus Pilot Plans with Energy Minister and PLN
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said he has discussed the use of hydrogen‑fuelled buses for the Transjakarta system with Energy Minister Bahlil Lahadalia. The minister has tasked the chief executive of PT PLN (Persero) to explore hydrogen applications for Transjakarta and the broader Transjabodetabek network. Anung added that the Jakarta provincial government will first prepare the necessary infrastructure before any public rollout. Several vehicle manufacturers have offered to supply one or two hydrogen‑powered buses for a pilot project, and the governor indicated that the pilot will be launched once infrastructure is ready.
