Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung outlines regional infrastructure and health initiatives

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has announced several key initiatives for the capital. To mitigate flood risks, the provincial government is overseeing the dredging of Kali Mampang and Kali Krukut rivers to increase water flow capacity. Additionally, the Governor has directed hospitals to strengthen tuberculosis (TBC) case detection and treatment to meet the 2030 elimination target.

Regarding public services, the Jakarta Transportation Agency plans to implement an integrated single-ticket system for Transjakarta, MRT, and LRT by early 2027, allowing passengers to switch modes within a three-hour window for a single fare. On social issues, Pramono clarified that while free entry to Ancol and Ragunan zoos is not feasible for all citizens due to maintenance costs, access remains free for students holding Jakarta Smart Cards (KJP) and Jakarta Excellent Student Cards (KJMU).

In response to recent demonstrations, the Governor praised the rapid cleanup efforts by the PPSU workers, noting that public facilities were restored to cleanliness within hours and no significant damage was reported.
