Indonesia expands SIM Keliling mobile licence renewal to multiple cities

Indonesia's police forces are operating a mobile driving‑license renewal service, known as SIM Keliling, across several regions in July 2026. The program, run by Polda Metro Jaya and local police units, offers on‑site renewal of SIM A and SIM C at designated locations in Jakarta, Bogor, Bekasi, Bandung, and Gunungkidul (including villages such as Wiladeg, Siraman, and Toserba Sambipitu). Service hours typically run from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB in Jakarta and from 09:00 to 12:00 WIB at other sites, with some evening slots on Saturdays.

Applicants must present a valid KTP, the current SIM, a health certificate and a psychological‑test result. Fees follow the government regulation (PP No. 60/2016): Rp 80,000 for SIM A and Rp 75,000 for SIM C; other costs such as medical exams are not included. The service does not handle expired licences or SIM B, which must be processed at a Satpas office. Because daily quotas are limited, officials advise drivers to arrive early.

The mobile service aims to bring administrative procedures closer to residents, reducing travel time and easing congestion at fixed offices while maintaining compliance with traffic regulations.
