Jakarta launches SIM Keliling service at five locations

The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya opened a mobile driving‑license (SIM) renewal service, called SIM Keliling, at five sites across Jakarta. The booths operate from 08:00 to 14:00 on weekdays (08:00‑12:00 on Saturday) and are located at Mal Grand Cakung (East Jakarta), LTC Glodok Mall (North Jakarta), the Trilogi University parking area in Kalibata (South Jakarta), the parking lot of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office (Central Jakarta), and the southern lobby of Mall Ciputra (West Jakarta).

The service handles renewals for SIM A and SIM C only, provided the licence is still valid. Applicants must bring a copy of a valid ID card, the old SIM and its copy, a health‑check certificate, and a psychological‑test result. Fees are set by Government Regulation No. 76/2020: Rp 80,000 for SIM A and Rp 75,000 for SIM C, with additional charges of Rp 100,000 for the psychological test and Rp 50,000 for the health test. Expired licences must be replaced at a regular Satpas office.

The initiative aims to reduce queues at the main Satpas offices and offers a convenient, on‑site option for Jakarta residents needing to extend their driving licences.
