Jakarta leads Indonesia with Rp173.6 trillion investment in H1 2026, Lebak adds Rp1.19 trillion
In the first half of 2026, Jakarta recorded investment realizations of Rp173.6 trillion, representing 17.2 % of Indonesia’s total investment and comprising Rp106.5 trillion in domestic capital and Rp67.1 trillion in foreign capital. The city’s investment hub was concentrated in South Jakarta with Rp62.7 trillion, followed by Central, North, West and East Jakarta. Officials highlighted the role of integrated infrastructure, a large market, skilled labour and a supportive business ecosystem, as well as digitalised licensing services and data‑driven promotion initiatives.
Meanwhile, Lebak Regency in Banten achieved Rp1.19 trillion in investment during the same period, reaching 84 % of its 2026 target and creating 5,840 new jobs. The investment mix included Rp885 billion in domestic projects and Rp302 billion from foreign investors, primarily from China, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong. Key sectors were electricity, gas and water; transport, warehousing and telecommunications; and housing, industrial and office zones. Local authorities emphasized a conducive investment climate and streamlined permitting processes under Regent Mochamad Hasbi Asyidiki.
