Cijantung military housing raided for online gambling hub

Authorities have uncovered an online gambling hub operating out of a military housing complex (KPAD) in Cijantung, East Jakarta. Following reports of suspicious activity from local residents, Indonesian Army (TNI AD) personnel and local authorities conducted a raid on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

During the operation, 11 civilians—six men and five women—were detained. While initial reports focused on these civilian operators, military authorities later confirmed the detention of Letkol (Inf) Arman, a mid-level officer, by the Jaya Military Police (Pomdam Jaya) for his alleged involvement.

Seized evidence includes 32 computers, 14 mobile phones, and nine identity cards. The Indonesian Army has stated it will take firm action against any personnel found to be facilitating or participating in illegal activities within military facilities. The investigation is ongoing to determine the full extent of the network's involvement.
