Korlantas Polri expands partnerships with ASDP Ferry and Jasa Raharja to boost traffic safety and public services
Indonesia’s traffic police (Korlantas Polri) announced two new cooperation initiatives aimed at improving the nation’s transport safety and public service delivery.
Irjen Pol Wibowo said Korlantas Polri will work closely with PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry to coordinate traffic management, logistics distribution and passenger flow for the upcoming Operation Nataru 2026 (New Year holiday) and Operation Ketupat 2027 (Eid‑Ramadan travel). The partnership will build on buffer‑zone systems and a “Tiba‑Bongkar‑Berangkat” model to ease congestion, while also preparing for possible extreme weather.
In a separate meeting, Korlantas Polri and PT Jasa Raharja signed a cooperation framework to enhance public services such as vehicle‑tax payments, digitalisation of Samsat processes and joint accident‑prevention programmes. Wibowo highlighted the need for preventive actions to lower road‑traffic fatalities and stressed that the collaboration will streamline payment systems and improve response to traffic accidents.
