Jakarta Police arrest two suspects in boarding house murder

Police from the Polda Metro Jaya Criminal Investigation Directorate have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old woman, identified as KDA, in East Jakarta. The suspects, identified as KDO (22) and ATW (27), were apprehended in the Jakarta Timur and Bekasi areas.

The victim was discovered in a boarding house room on Jalan Asem Nirbaya, Pinang Ranti. According to investigators, the body was found with hands and feet bound by blue raffia rope, and the victim had bruising on her face and a black shirt tied around her neck.

The discovery occurred after a boarding house manager attempted to check the room following a suspicious interaction with an individual claiming to be named Daniel, who had expressed interest in renting the room but failed to complete the payment or provide identification as promised. Authorities have seized evidence including the rope and clothing used in the incident and are continuing their investigation to determine the specific roles of the suspects.
