Jakarta police reunite abandoned Pontianak woman with family

Police from the Penjaringan Metro Sector Police in North Jakarta have reunited a 31-year-old woman, identified by the initials MLT, with her family after she was found abandoned in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area.

Security officers discovered the woman on Wednesday, September 30, and brought her to the police station. Following her discovery, authorities verified her health and interviewed witnesses at the scene. To locate her relatives, Penjaringan police coordinated with the Pontianak City Police to confirm her identity using her national ID card.

Upon confirmation, the victim's family stated she had been missing from her home for three days. Her brother, identified as WN, subsequently picked her up from the police station after authorities verified his identity.
