Jakarta Schedules 2026 Watersport and Children’s Day Festivals

The Jakarta provincial tourism and creative economy office announced the Jakarta Watersport Festival 2026, to be held on 1–2 August 2026 at Danau Sunter in North Jakarta. The event aims to boost sport tourism, attract visitors, extend stays and generate economic benefits for local businesses. Kepala Dinas Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Provinsi DKI Jakarta, Andhika Permata, said the festival will serve as a “magnet for tourist visits” by showcasing water‑sport competitions alongside entertainment, education and a UMKM bazaar.

Separately, kumparanMOM will host the kumparanMOM Festival Hari Anak 2026 on 25–26 July 2026 at Ex Taman Anggrek, Gelora Bung Karno. The Children’s Day festival, themed “Play & Move,” offers activities that combine play, arts, creativity and responsible technology use. In a opening session, Director‑General Fifi Aleyda Yahya emphasized the need for balanced screen time and parental guidance, urging children to enjoy both digital benefits and real‑world interaction.
