Jakarta sets TransJakarta airport bus fare at Rp15,000

The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta approved a new official tariff for the TransJakarta bus route linking Blok M with Soekarno‑Hatta Airport. The fare will be set at Rp 15,000 per trip, up from the previous trial price of Rp 3,500, and will take effect on 1 September 2026. The change is recorded in Governor Decision No. 685/2026.

Transport Department head Budi Awaluddin explained that the adjustment is a social‑protection measure rather than a price hike, after consultations with PT TransJakarta, university researchers, transport authorities and the public. Payment will continue to be made via electronic money. The fare increase applies only to the Blok M–Soekarno‑Hatta route; other airport routes such as Kalideres–Soekarno‑Hatta retain their existing rates.
