Jakarta targets massive investment through JITEX 2026 and strategic projects
The Jakarta Provincial Government is aggressively pursuing investment through major upcoming expos and strategic project offerings. For the Jakarta International Investment, Tourism, Trade and SMEs Expo (JITEX) 2026, scheduled for September 16–19 at JIExpo Kemayoran, officials are targeting potential transactions and investments of approximately Rp16 trillion. The event aims to connect local products, including those from Jakpreneur, with modern retail and B2B markets, while also serving as a platform for foreign investment following preliminary discussions in China.
In a separate initiative, the Jakarta Investment Festival (JIF) is offering 37 strategic projects valued at Rp115 trillion. These projects, managed by state-owned and regional enterprises, span sectors such as housing, hospitality, logistics, transportation, and coastal development. Governor Pramono Anung highlighted Jakarta's economic resilience, noting a 5.52% year-on-year growth in the second quarter of 2026 and investment realizations of Rp173.6 trillion in the first half of the year.
