Jakarta toll roads implement contraflow to manage heavy traffic

Heavy traffic congestion has been reported on several toll roads heading toward Jakarta on Monday, October 26, 2026. To alleviate vehicle queues, authorities have implemented contraflow traffic engineering on the Inner City Toll Road and the Jagorawi Toll Road.

On the Inner City Toll Road, congestion was noted from Cawang KM 00 to KM 02 toward Tebet. A contraflow lane has been established from the Halim 3 Toll Gate (KM 01+300) to the Senayan area (KM 08+100).

On the Jagorawi Toll Road, significant density was observed between Cimanggis KM 19 and KM 17 toward Cawang, as well as between Cimanggis KM 16 and Cibubur KM 14. Contraflow measures were also applied from Cimanggis KM 17+200 to Cipayung KM 08+800.

Additional congestion was reported on the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) E between Setu KM 36 and Ceger KM 34 due to high vehicle volumes toward Kampung Rambutan. Furthermore, the Japek Toll Road experienced delays at Jatibening KM 09 to KM 08 toward Cawang, while roadwork caused slowdowns from Cibitung KM 23 toward KM 620.
