A series of road incidents occurred across Indonesia in late July and early August 2026. A 1980 Volkswagen Combi owned by an Australian expatriate burned after an alleged electrical short in Jimbaran, Bali. In Depok, a newly built sidewalk collapsed, prompting temporary closures.
On the Pandaan‑Malang toll, two Toyota Hiace vans collided, injuring six Chinese nationals and the driver. A truck breakdown caused a temporary jam on the Padang‑Bukittinggi route. A pickup truck on the Cipularang tollway struck a preceding vehicle, killing two occupants from Sumedang. A convoy of two KDKMP pickups and a tourist bus in Ponorogo resulted in vehicle damage but no deaths. Later, an elderly woman was crushed by a minibus in Ponorogo, killing her. In Jakarta, a car hit an electric pole, toppling the pole and injuring the driver. Finally, a man was fatally struck by a passing train in Bandar Lampung.
