Jakarta's Pramono Anung Orders Removal of High Fences at Kokas Mall

High metal fences were erected around Mall Kota Kasablanka and other office towers in Jakarta amid speculation of possible unrest. Governor Pramono Anung said the city remained safe, warned that excessive barriers could create fear, and pledged coordination with police and security forces.

Following a meeting between Housing Minister Maruarar Sirait and Pakuwon Group founder Alexander Tedja, the ministry confirmed the national economic situation was stable and the fences would be taken down. Both the governor and the minister urged the mall operator to dismantle the barriers, and the removal was subsequently carried out.
