Jake Karlik Band releases self-titled debut album

The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based rock blues group Jake Karlik Band has released their self-titled debut album via Horton Records. Recorded at Closet Studios in Tulsa, the project was engineered and mixed by Kendal Osborne and mastered by Mat Leffler-Schulman.

The album is characterized by the ‘Tulsa Sound,’ incorporating elements of Southern rock, funk, blues, and Americana. Band leader Jake Karlik noted a desire for the recording to capture the feeling of a band playing together in a room rather than a highly processed studio sound.

The band members include Jake Karlik on guitar and vocals, Ian McGuire on lead guitar, Paul Latta on drums and backing vocals, Sky Slater on bass, and Greg Zink on keyboards.
