Jakobe Moreno performs with Soulfly at Aftershock Festival

Jakobe Moreno, son of Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno, performed a special guest appearance with Soulfly during the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California. Moreno filled in for his father on the vocals for the song ‘Pain’.

The track ‘Pain’ originally featured Chino Moreno and was released on Soulfly’s album ‘Primitive’. The performance held personal significance due to the long-standing friendship between Max Cavalera and Chino Moreno, which was rooted in the memory of Cavalera’s late stepson, Dana Wells.

Gloria Cavalera described the performance as an ‘epic moment’, noting that Jakobe’s performance was accompanied on drums by Zyon, further connecting the families through the performance.
