Jakobstad region Integration Works project exceeds participation targets
The Integration Works project, running from 2024 to 2026 in the Jakobstad region, has significantly exceeded its initial engagement targets. While the project originally aimed to reach 40 participants, approximately 116 people participated by the project's conclusion.
Funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), the initiative was implemented by local Integration Services in collaboration with municipalities, employers, educational providers, and various authorities. The program focused on creating pathways to employment, education, and social participation for individuals with immigrant backgrounds.
Key services provided included individual guidance for job searching, CV preparation, assistance with online applications, and support for navigating official authorities. Participants also received help finding internships, work try-outs, and information regarding local educational opportunities and Finnish labor market practices, such as employee rights and employment contracts.
