Jakov Milatović visits Rožaje to advocate for merit-based education

Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović visited Rožaje to meet with students at the Bać Primary School and the ‘30. septembar’ Gymnasium. During his visit, he emphasized the importance of education and meritocracy in the country's future.

Milatović stated that Montenegro cannot become a successful nation as long as young people believe that political connections are necessary for success rather than knowledge and hard work. He advocated for a society where individuals are judged by their abilities and skills rather than who they know.

The President also highlighted the significance of rural schools in maintaining local communities and pledged that children in smaller towns should have the same opportunities to develop their talents as those in major European cities. He linked Montenegro's European Union prospects to the improvement of educational quality and the strengthening of institutions.
