Jaksinema mini cinema opens at Pasar Rumput apartments

A new mini cinema, Jaksinema Pasar Jaya (Jaksinema), has officially opened at the Pasar Rumput low-cost apartment complex (Rusun Pasar Rumput) in South Jakarta. Inaugurated by Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno on Monday, August 24, 2026, the facility features a single studio with a 43-seat capacity located in Tower 3, directly connected to Jakmart.

The cinema aims to provide affordable entertainment to residents, with ticket prices set at Rp15,000 on weekdays and Rp20,000 on weekends. Ticket purchases are integrated with QRIS digital payments.

This initiative is part of the ‘Jakarta Kota Sinema’ vision, intended to bring Indonesian films closer to residential areas and support the local creative economy. Deputy Governor Rano Karno stated that increasing accessibility to film screenings will help strengthen the film ecosystem and stimulate other creative subsectors such as music, design, and digital technology.
