Jakub Bolek named Man of the Year 2026 in Náchod

Jakub Bolek, a 30-year-old real estate and financial manager from Náchod, has been crowned Man of the Year 2026. The competition, held at the Dr. Josef Čížek Municipal Theatre, saw over 700 applicants, with ten finalists competing in various disciplines including character, intelligence, and public performance.

Bolek secured first place, followed by entrepreneur Oliver Laryea in second and fitness trainer David Ryba in third. Special awards were also presented to Tomáš Valinský (Man of the Year) and Jan Sumarta (Man of the World Czech Republic).

The event, organized by David Novotný, serves both as a national prestige project and a charitable endeavor, supporting organizations such as the Šťastná hvězda Foundation and local stations in Náchod and Nové Město nad Metují. The evening featured performances by various Czech musical stars, including Heidi Janků and Petra Janů.
