Jakub Góźdź to discuss firefighter psychological support

Jakub Góźdź, a psychologist and psychotherapist with the State Fire Service, will participate in a panel at the XXIV 'Innovations in Rescue' Conference. The session, titled 'Innovations in rescue – 20 years after the MTK building disaster in Katowice', will address the psychological impact of major disasters on rescue workers.

Góźdź, who has worked with the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Kielce and the National Headquarters, focuses on developing systemic psychological support systems. The discussion aims to examine how approaches to the mental health and safety of rescuers have evolved in the two decades following the Katowice disaster.
